Day To Day Jobs

Mission: Mission 1: Good Things Come To Those Who Wait
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: MD02 - 1045 Hours

Ensign Aryo wandered into sickbay with an armful of PADDs. She’d just been to the medical pod to check in with Lieutenant Peacock, who was in the interim medical lead over in the pod when Doctor Marion wasn’t there.

She turned to her left and headed towards to the Doctor’s office. “Just a few more PADDs which need your approval, Doctor.” She said with a smile and just a hint of sarcasm as she placed the small pile of, what she guesstimated at 15, PADDs.

"Did you know that doctors used to have to sign paper? We may have become a paperless society but people still find a way to do paperwork and keep us busy and away from our patients which was what we actually wanted to do in the first place, help people. So I guess what I'm saying is that all doctors need to befriend an administrative assistant."

Pirdeta gave the Doctor a small smile. “It seems silly in some ways, all this technology but we still insist on having PADDs when all this could be done via the computer. Not that I’m complaining, it’s keeping me fit all this back and fourth.”

"Hmm, all it does is bury me in a desk and make me fatter because I have to have chocolate to eat while I look through all the stuff. That's not fair."Aggie frowned. "Anyway, was there something else?"

“Erm, yes. Lieutenant Peacock would like these checked and signed so I can return them to him.” Aryo said as she took the first two PADDs off the pile and passed them to the Doctor. “Then this is the revised duty roster for the current medical pod personnel, plus he has started putting together teams to head down to the Colony once we arrive to start setting up the field hospitals.” She said passing another two PADDs to Doctor Marion.

Aggie frowned. "Why is he getting to decide who heads down to the planet. Isn't that my job?"

“Erm...I don’t know Doctor. I’m just doing as I’m told.” She said nervously. “Perhaps he is trying to help?”

"Hmmmmm." Aggie said trying not to frown at the other woman. "I will talk to him. In fact." She stood up. "I think I'll take that pad back to him as well. Thank you for bringing this to my attention."

The Bajoran suddenly went bright red, “I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to get any one into trouble. Me and my big mouth.”

"Don't worry, I'm not going to mention any names and it's not your fault. I just don't like people doing my job for me. I'm rather bossy and I like to be." She practically patted the other woman on the head and headed off without another word.
